Salicylic Acid Face Mask : The Dermaco 2% Salicylic Acid Mask Review

When it comes to acne prone skin there are some ingredients that I absolutely love . One of them is salicylic acid. It is an amazing ingredient for acne prone skin.

Salicylic acid is a potent BHA or beta hydroxy acid which is used widely in skincare, prescribed by many dermatologists for treating mild to moderate forms of acne.

Salicylic acid has keratolytic properties which helps in dissolving dead skin cell layers which helps in unclogging pores. It also helps in reducing inflammation which can reduce the size of existing acne too.

Acne can be both inflammatory or non-inflammatory. For more details click here.

Salicylic acid serums and masks are a good way to reduce blackheads and whiteheads on the skin which can contribute to future breakouts.

In today's post I'm reviewing the newly launched 2 percent salicylic acid mask by The DermaCo.

Texture and consistency-

The mask has a smooth texture which glides on easily on the skin.

Apply an even layer on cleansed face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water and follow up with a hydrating moisturizer.

My experience with the product-

I really do like a good salicylic acid product for my skin as it helps in providing a nice exfoliation to the skin. Normally I go for serums for my skin but this time I decided to give this mask a try. Apart from salicylic acid it also contains kaolin clay and activated charcoal which helps in regulating the oil production in the skin. I used this product twice a week and the tub lasted a month in my cabinet.

The product should not be used frequently as it can be a bit drying to the skin.

The application is really smooth and it washes off easily giving a fresh look to the skin. After using this mask I follow up with a good moisturiser to nourish my skin so that it does not feel dry or stretchy. I used this product as a quick fix mask treatment on the days when my skin felt super oily, dull, clogged and it did the job really well.

Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic Hair Oil Review

In today’s post I am reviewing Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic Hair Oil. I’ve been oiling my hair since childhood. When I was younger my mother used to oil my hair on a weekly basis and I did have beautiful hair that time. In the past few years because of a lot of chemical treatments such as rebonding, coloring etc made my hair really dry, frizzy, brittle and unmanageable. Since one year I am again more focused on the traditional ways of adding nutrients to my hair in the form of oil treatments to add an extra nourishment to my scalp for getting long healthy hair. This is for a fact that I've received so many compliments in the past few months that my hair has beautifully grown.  For oiling I always love a good concoction of oils which helps in strengthening the hair from within. The main carrier oil which I use to add any essential oil has been parachute coconut oil for a very long time. Parachute is a brand which is not unknown among the Indian population. Their original

Dot & Key Hyaluronic Acid Serum Concentrate Review

Hyaluronic acid serums have been popular in the skincare industry for quite a few years now. Indian skincare brands have been including various hyaluronic acid serum in their range too. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occuring glycosaminoglycan which is present throughout the body. It can hold upto 1000 times the weight in water. It helps in plumping the skin, restoring hydration and moisturisation to the skin and also helps in plumping it up.   When used topically along with a good emollient cream on top it helps in sucking in the moisture from the cream and also prevents transepidermal water loss. Harsh environmental factors such as sun damage, oxidative stress can lead to depletion of hyaluronic acid levels in the skin leading to a dry dehydrated skin. Adding a topical hyaluronic acid serum helps in replenishing the lost moisture and promotes a healthy skin barrier. Coming to the Dot and Key Hyaluronic acid serum concentrate. Ingredients- Purified Water, Dimethicone, Dime
