Minimalist Multi Peptide Serum Review

Peptides are made up of two or more amino acids which are the building block of proteins.

Collagen is naturally present in our body which is made up of polypeptides. As we grow older the collagen starts depleting which can result in presenting the signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles.

Adding a topical peptide serum or moisturiser in your daily skincare routine can delay these signs while promoting a healthy and youthful skin.

Whenever you want to incorporate any topical peptide product in your skincare routine always invest in a good leave on product rather than wash off products. The reason behind it is that leave on products are there in contact with the skin for a longer period of time helping to show results more effectively.

In today's post I am sharing my views on the Multi Peptide Serum by Minimalist.

Minimalist is an Indian skincare and hair care brand that has come up with affordable serums and moisturisers with a good percentage of actives in them.

Coming to the product details-

What does the product say ?

Minimalist multi peptide serum is a collagen boosting product which is targeted towards mature skin types.

It contains 7% matrixyl 3000 which is a combination of palmitoyl tetrapeptide 7 and palmitoyl tripeptide 1 which acts together synergistically to enhance elastin and collagen synthesis to give a firmer looking skin.

The serum also contains 3% bioplacenta which is obtained from microbial fermentation. It is rich in growth factors which helps the skin to renew and promote elasticity.

The matrixyl is developed by Croda UK and bioplacenta is developed by Labio Korea.

Texture and consistency-

The serum has a viscous consistency which glides on easily and sinks in the skin within a few seconds without leaving any greasy or sticky residue.

How to use the serum?

You can use this product any time of the day. Most preferable time is PM for healing and repair of the skin.

After cleansing and toning take 3-4 drops of this serum and apply it on your face and neck. Let it absorb for some time then follow up with a good moisturiser.

Note- Peptide serums/ moisturisers should not be combined with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) as the pH levels are different which can render the peptides ineffective.

My experience with the product-

I've tried many products from  Minimalist and almost all of them worked well for my skin. I am writing this review while I've already purchased my second bottle of this serum.

The product is really lightweight and absorbs nicely into the skin without giving any tacky after feel. I don't have any signs of aging or wrinkles on my skin and I really don't want to have them anytime soon😅.

I have applied this serum for two months now and I must say I have seen a good improvement in the texture of my skin. Last year due to a lot of stress and dietary changes my skin was feeling really dull but after incorporating some really good actives it has started looking more plump and healthy.

Along with matrixyl 3000 this product also contains oligopeptides, polypeptides, fermented extracts and lactic acid with gives a smoother complexion and repairs the skin barrier.

Peptide serums/ moisturizers take time to work on the skin. You have to use them consistently for months before you start seeing some effective results.

For me the serum worked really well and I was happy to see my skin after using it.
