Skinfood Egg White Pore Mask Review

Clay masks are a great way to freshen up your skin immediately. When you get a combination of clay mask with egg whites it's a must in my cabinet.
Egg whites help in shrinking open pores and make them appear smaller in size. They are rich in amino acids and vitamins that help in nourishing and tightening the skin.
In this post I am sharing my review and experience with Skinfood’s Egg White Pore Mask. Skinfood is a Korean brand which has some amazing skincare ranges.
The egg white and rice products have definitely caught my attention.

Texture and consistency-

This mask has a thick creamy clay like consistency which spreads easily on the skin. The coverage is really good and a little product is needed for each application.

How to use it?

Apply a generous amount on cleansed face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes then wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow up with a moisturiser.

My experience with the product-

I do love clay masks for my combination acne prone skin. They help in removing excess sebum and dirt from my skin. Applying a good clay based mask helps in making your pores appear much smaller in size.

There are multiple benefits of using egg whites for skin. I always wanted to try them out but didn't like to use raw eggs on my face. The key component of this face mask is albumen extract which is a protein found in egg white.

Albumen helps in constricting your pores making your skin look smoother and firmer. The effects of this extract in a face mask is temporary but it does make your skin brighter before an event.

The mask has a very smooth consistency and it glides on like a dream on the skin. After ten minutes it starts drying up, giving a bit of a tight feeling on the face. It washes off really easily and provides a smoother and brighter skin immediately.

Kaolin clay and bentonite removes excess oil and makes the skin look fresh. The presence of olive oil and glycerin moisturises the skin. Olive oil has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It helps in nourishing the skin nicely and making it soft and supple.

Glycerin is a humectant that relieves dryness and retains moisture in the skin.My pores definitely appear smaller after using this egg white mask. It does not feel dry or stretchy after application.

Pros-

  • Contains albumen extract.
  • Kaolin and bentonite control and remove excess oil.
  • Pores appear smaller for a few hours after application of this mask.
  • Glycerin and olive oil moisturises the skin.
  • A little product goes a long way.
  • Easily available.
  • Travel friendly.
  • Makes the skin brighter.

Cons-

  • Tub packaging does not come with a spatula.
  • Results are temporary.
Will I repurchase it?
Yes !! It's a good fun mask to use.

Recommended for combination and oily skin types.
